(a) Discussion of an Ordinance amending Chapter 102 of the Code of Ordinances, the same being the City's Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, by amending the Official Zoning District map from Primary Corridor to Single Family Residential on a 9.865 acre tract of land, located south of US Highway 90A, north of Stafford Run drainage, west of FM 1092, bounded by Promenade Boulevard adjacent to the Promenade Subdivision, within the City in Zoning District Primary Corridor. (b) Public Hearing on Ordinance as described in Item 5.(a). (c) Discussion of comments made during Public Hearing. (d) Consideration of appropriate action on Items 5.(a) – 5.(c).
Report on engineering matters: (a) Progress of Stafford/Staffordshire Road project addressing progress of construction, including latest developments related to extension of Staffordshire Road form 5th Street to Scanlin Road; (b) Status of Mobility Projects addressing Dulles Avenue and Brand Lane; (c) Local street and drainage improvements; and (d) Consideration of appropriate action on Items 5.(a) – 5.(c).
Report by Mayor Scarcella on meeting pertaining to commuter rail along US 90A corridor with US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, Congressman Al Green, Mayors and other public officials including Metro representatives on May 1, 2013.
Report and discussion of economic development approaches in the City, including emphasis on US 90A Corridor and study of FM 1092 Corridor, with emphasis on Houston-Galveston Area Council’s recommendations.
