Discussion and possible action to determine whether Commissioner Castillo’s absence on July 13, 2010 is excused or unexcused.
Discussion of the arrangements for the Planning and Zoning Commission to tour the IS and PC Districts as part of October’s regular Planning & Zoning Commission meeting to discuss an ordinance amending Chapter 102 “Zoning” of the City of Stafford Code of Ordinances; defining outdoor storage; interpreting boundaries of zoning districts; discontinuing the nonconformance of sale and display items in the Island (IS) zoning district; providing for the amortization of properties with nonconforming site improvements in the Primary Corridor (PC) zoning district; requiring the use of all weather material for the parking of commercial vehicles; amending provisions regarding outdoor display, sales and storage; permitting residential uses in District PC and District IS; requiring a specific use permit for light industrial uses adjacent to residential property in District PC; amending Chapter 98 “Vegetation” regarding the requirements for parking lot and on lot trees and shrubs in District PC and District IS; providing a penalty in an amount not to exceed $2,000 for each day of violation of any provision hereof; repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith; providing for severability; providing an effective date and finding and determining that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open as required by law.
Report on engineering matters: (a) Progress of developments on the US 90A Improvement Project addressing landscape enhancements, monument, extension of aesthetic wall and landscaping at the TXI crossing; (b) Progress of Stafford/Staffordshire Road project addressing progress of construction; (c) Progress of US 59 Enhancement Project addressing landscaping, the monuments with the “City of Stafford” added on the panels opposite where “City of Stafford” is shown on each of the four monuments and anticipated completion date; (d) Status of Mobility Projects addressing Dulles Avenue, Brand Lane and Kirkwood Road improvement projects; (e) Local street and drainage improvements; and (f) Consideration of appropriate action on Items (a) - (e).
