(a) Discussion of a resolution of the City of Stafford approving the Board of Directors of the Stafford Economic Development Corporation selection as a project of the Corporation, the expenditure of funds for an individual, corporation or business to market and promote the City of Stafford to businesses and to research, locate and recruit companies to locate new businesses in the City of Stafford, Texas or expand existing businesses in the City of Stafford and related expenditures. (b) Discussion of a resolution of the City of Stafford approving the Board of Directors of the Stafford Economic Development Corporation selection as a project of the Corporation, certain open space improvements in the City of Stafford, Texas that enhance the streets and roadways of the City of Stafford including banners, poles, lighting and landscaping; promote entertainment, tourism, conventions and events; and that promote new or expanded business development; and related expenditures. (c) Consideration of appropriate action on Items 3.(a) - 3.(b).

(b) Consideration of appropriate action on Item 4(a).

City Engineer’s and Public Works Department’s report and discussion of engineering matters including: (a) Stafford/Staffordshire Roads Project addressing progress of construction; (b) Progress of developments on the US 90A Improvement Project and status of completion; (c) Progress of development of US 59 Enhancement Project addressing the monuments with the “City of Stafford” added on the panels opposite where “City of Stafford” is shown on each of the four monuments; (d) Status of Mobility Projects addressing Dulles Avenue, Brand Lane and Kirkwood Road improvement projects; (e) Local street and drainage improvements including overnight parking on Island interior streets; (f) Acceptance of the paving and drainage facilities for the Pike Road extension into the City’s maintained paving and drainage facilities; and (g) Consideration of appropriate action on Items 5.(a) – 5.(f).
6. The City Council may go into Executive Session to discuss any item on the agenda as authorized by Chapter 551, Texas Government Code. an executive session as authorized by Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, Section 551.071, consultation with attorney on appropriate matters on items on agenda; Section 551.071 (1) (A) contemplated litigation; Sec. 551.071 (2) an attorney-client privilege/relationship; Section 551.074, the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of an officer or employee; Sec. 551.072, the purchase, exchange,lease, or value of real property including the Stafford/Staffordshire Roads Project; Sec. 551.076, deliberation regarding security personnel and devices; and Sec. 551.078 (2) to discuss the offer of a financial or other incentive to a business prospect that the City seeks to have locate, stay, or expand in or near the City of Stafford. 7.
